A parked Internet domain is one which is taken, but it is not linked to another service - web or e-mail hosting. Put simply, such a domain name will not open any actual content in case you type it within a browser, but nobody can take it as you've already registered it and you are its owner. The advantage of obtaining a domain name and parking it afterwards is the fact that you’ll be able to keep it and not worry that somebody else could possibly register it meanwhile if, for example, the site for it is not ready yet. You can create a short-term Under Construction webpage for a parked domain address while you are working on the website, or forward it to another web address - temporarily or permanently. The second option can be used if you have already registered domain.com, for example, and you get domain.net and domain.org, in order to protect a brand name or a trademark. In this case, the .net and .org domain names can be parked and forwarded to the .com since you do not need separate sites for them.

Parked Domains in Website Hosting

You will be able to park as many domains as you want with any of the website hosting plans which we provide. However, this feature is provided only for domain names registered here since the service is always provided only by the registrar. As opposed to most companies, we don't charge anything extra for parking a domain name and the process takes just a few mouse clicks in your Hepsia CP. We also have a couple of parking templates to select from where you can add custom text. If you choose to host a parked domain in the future, adding it to your account takes just a mouse click. Everything required for the website to start showing up, like setting up a domain folder and setting up DNS records is going to be done automatically by our system. Our feature-rich Domain Manager tool will enable you to see a full list of the domains that you've registered through us and you will be able to set a filter to see just the parked or only the hosted ones.
